03 Dec I’m Not Ready to Die
“I’m not ready to die…I scream…There are people talking around me, totally ignoring my cry. I now understand what it feels like to be in a crowded room of people and yet feel so alone.”
Have you ever felt yourself slipping away into a state of darkness? Did the feeling become so increasingly overwhelming that nothing and no one could save you from what seemed like an inevitable path of self-destruction? You aren’t alone. Unfortunately, because of the chaotic world we live in many of us experience depression, anxiety and a low sense of self-worth. It’s very easy to get caught up in your own personal pain. Our pain not only clouds our hearts, but our vision and how we see the world around us. You could have all the money in the world, the coolest friends and perfect health but still be totally empty on the inside. Your emotional state of being has everything to do with the content of your heart. You aren’t satisfied because you’re trapped in darkness that stems from painful events that could’ve happened to you this year or even 15 years ago. It’s hard to move on with such a heavy load on your heart, but there is a way to the light.
Did you know that God loves you more than you could’ve ever imagined? He loves you so much that there is literally nothing you could ever do to make him stop loving you. God loves you more than you love yourself. In the bible it says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow –not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
Marinate on that inspirational scripture and you’ll come to a comforting realization that you are never alone. Even if you don’t feel loved by your family and friends, God will always love you. God’s love is the light that you’ve been yearning for in the midst of your darkness. You’ve had it the entire time and just didn’t know it!
